I grew up in India. I currently live in Detroit, Michigan. I have worked at General Motors (GM) for almost 2 decades.

I am an Electrochemical Engineer turned venture capitalist (VC).

I spent over a decade in R&D and Engineering. I developed and implemented advanced materials for fuel-cell and battery electric vehicles (EVs).

I was the Product Lead for the battery cell for Chevy Bolt — the first mass-market EV to have 225 miles of driving range.

I have published 15 peer-reviewed scientific articles, 3 technical book chapters, and I am inventor on 5 patents.

Journey.

I have been investing in startups for GM Ventures for almost 7 years.

I generally invest in startups that can create moats with positive unit economics.

I serve on the boards of the companies that I invest in.

I have invested in a total of 10 startups.

Some of my current investments that are publicly disclosed are Nauto (Vision AI), Solid Energy (Battery), Spring Labs (Secure Identity), Envisics (Augmented Reality) and Ushr (HD Maps).
